Israel's Mediterranean coast is short and straight, so trips here are about the day rather than the week: two-hour sails and sunset cruises from Herzliya and Tel Aviv, full days along the coast, events on board, and longer passages to Cyprus.
Foreign yachts clear in at Herzliya, Haifa (Shavit Marina), Ashkelon or Eilat; Tel Aviv and Ashdod are not ports of entry. Sailing to Cyprus is a known route: Herzliya to Limassol is roughly 170 nautical miles, about a day and a half under sail, with clearance at Herzliya both ways and the Navy notified in advance.
Summer is the main season, but the marinas work all year, and in Eilat on the Red Sea the water stays warm through the winter.
